Francisco Abelardo Robles is a cognitive psychologist by training. He completed his MS and Doctorate degrees in Behavioral Science at the University of Guadalajara Institute of Neurosciences in Mexico, investigating the effects of orbitofrontal cortex and amygdala inactivation in reversal learning. After completion of his Doctoral degree, he pursued post-doctoral training in fMRI and ERP techniques focusing mainly in language comprehension tasks at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Mexico City, where he became a Full-Time Researcher. Currently, he is a Research Professor at the University of Guadalajara North University Center. His research focuses on the neurobiological basis of lexical and semantic processing.
